Question about a stock 2005 Srt-4?
My friend just bought a stock 2005 Dodge neon Srt-4. We where talkign to another gut with an Srt-4 at 7-11. He asked us why doesnt he hear the blow-off. We said because it's stock. He said the stock Srt-4's have a silencer on the stock turbo blow-off valve. He said you can take it off so the blow-off is loader. My question is this.
Is it true we can take the silencer off the stock blow-off valve if it even has one(A silencer i mean)? And if true how do we do it? Last edited by Turbodog97; 08-03-2007 at 10:35 PM.

Try this next time. When someone says "Hey...why don't you do this to your srt" or..."did you know..." Just ask them if they have an srt4. If the answer is no or I used to tell them good day sir and walk away. Seriously, people who don't have srt4s don't know shit about them. There is no silencer; srt4's don't even come with bov's...they come with bypass valves. I mean think about it...exactly how would you silence a bov in the first place....by making it recirculating? Just think about it.

You can find some nice ones for 150, some less, some more. It depends on what sound you like. The guy was probably thinking of the mopar blow off valve, which isnt really a valve. Those go for about 25 bucks. I hate to admit it, but I actually have a rice plate.

do u also know about the block off plate that u need to get when u get the aftermarket blow off valve?
because i didnt know untill someone else told me...

You don't have to get a block off plate...you can technically utilize the stock bypass valve and an aftermarket bov...you don't have to, most don't...but you can.
