Ferrari and Ducati...
What's the relationship between these two? I saw an article that mentioned them working together on a bike, but I can't seem to find anything else...

there was an article about them working on a project about a year ago in a motorcycle magazine. unfortunately I can't seem to find it in my stash of magazines now. I'll keep looking and see if i can find it though. I think it was in Sportbike magazine but I subscribe to 5 or 6 motorcycle mags so i'm not sure. sorry

Yeah, like 2 days ago when I was looking through magazines at school, I saw an article on them working together on a project in the September 1995 issue of Cycle World, so I tore it out and now I'm wondering if they work together often. They said in the article that they were using a 3 cylinder slice of the V10 Ferrari F-1 engine in this bike.

Maybe they just colaborated on when to introduce their 2 new models.
Ferrari gave the car world a culture shock with the Enzo and at the same time the bike world got a shock with the 999. Maybe a coincidence, maybe not but when you think about it the 999 and the Enzo do have a lot in common. (not mechanicaly of coarse). |

i'll keep looking but the article was something about ducati and ferrari sharing engineers and parts to make a brand new bike. can't seem to find anything on the web right now so maybe it didn't happen. if it does it will probably be too expensive for any of us to afford anyway.
