Unhappy Engine Stuttering

My engine starts to stutter untill she reaches over 20 miles and hour then it stops. Going in reverse is a nightmare and even up a hill. We have changes plugs, wires, airfilter, MAF sensor. There is no leaks of any kind and the check engine light doesnt come on. We even put fuel injector cleaner in it to. That didnt help. Could anyone help with this??

Re: Engine Stuttering

Here's a shot in the dark. Disconnect the IAC at idle and see if it stalls. If it doesen't then replace the IAC. Second disconnect the cam sensor, if the condition improves significantly then the VCT has an issue. Doing both will turn on the check engine light so it will need to be reset.

Last, there is a "defect" with the flywheel, assuming yours is an automatic, where over time a crack can develop around the inner bolts. It usually trips code p0340 which you don't have but it does have simular symptoms.

Re: Engine Stuttering

My ZX2 was doing the same thing. I changes my fuel filter and it fixed the problem. Hope this helps.
