Instrument cluster swap problem...

I just replaced my cluster in my 99 2.2 (digital guage).I tried starting the car but it would not turn over.I put the old one back in and it started right up.
What can I do to make the replacement cluster work?

There is an anti-theft system in your car. There is a certain routine you have to follow in order to get it to work. It involves turnin the key on and leaving it on but not starting the car for like a 15 min period of time and you have to remain in the car and everything. Lemme see if i can find it for you.

Re: Instrument cluster swap problem...

I can't find the thread either cody, but basically it boils down to. First roll your window down so you don't have to open your door... start it. it dies... d/c battery for 15 min, connect back up, start... it dies, leave key in ignition, DO NOT DO ANYTHING THAT USES BATTERY like open your door, turn on radio blah blah blah... leave the key in the run position until your theft light either goes off or stops blinking or.. whatever it's doing... wait until it's not doing that anymore, lol. I dunno wether it's lit up or blinking but whatever... after that then you should be able to turn it off and start it right up cluster swaps FTW!!!!!
