what was the first year for the 174hp daytona shelby Z?
was it 1987 or 1988 that the daytona shelby z first got the 174hp turbo 2.2 liter?

the first year was 1987 for the shelby z to be intercooled and 174hp

the first year was 87, but gaining recognition took about a year so I could see how you got 88 there.

fully restored 426 cu. In. 8-cylinder engine with dual 4-barrel carburetors 12.5 to 1 compression ratio. Cross Ram Intake manifold. 1 11/16" x 1 11/16" Holley carburetors. Competition Hooker headers, exhaust pipes, and mufflers.

1st year shelby z
the 1st year was 1987 . i have an 87 shelby z with 93000 miles in my drive way. gotta love those 2.2 turbos.
