change a/t fluid late=#)@*
1999 corolla (90,000 miles) with automatic transmission. question - if the automatic transmission fliud ain,t been changed yet would you change it at this time or would doing so do more harm than good. this subject has been discussed elsewhere and most agreed it is too late !

Re: change a/t fluid late=#)@*
I purchase used high mileage Toyota's (80,000 to 100,000 miles) and know very little about their past maintenance history. On every one I've had the trans fluid changed without any issues cropping up later. I keep the vehicle for another 80,0000 miles then sell it off. There are several threads on how to DIY but I have the local Toyota Dealer change the fluid. Usually they have coupon or some kind of discount special for this service
