Midwoofer magnet separating from basket
On one of my CDT CL61 6.5 the magnet partially separated from the basket. Will this affect the performance of the speaker?

Re: Midwoofer magnet separating from basket
as paul stated if the magnet moves to much the pole peice will eat the coil alive and probably fry that speaker

Re: Midwoofer magnet separating from basket
I think the magnet is on the outside ..... but the speaker is designed with the magnet in a certain fixed place, if it's moved then the center resting point and Xmax spot will be moved too
