2002 olds A/C mode control
Mode control doesn't change vent outlets. Blows air out all vents, no vacuum from the engine. is there a control valve in the engine compartment, can't trace vacuum line in engine compartment

Re: 2002 olds A/C mode control
Found two holes in the vacuum line near the battery & high amp fuse box. Hope this helps someone later. Paul

I spliced in a small peice I got at the junk yard I think the holes were caused by battery acid.

Re: 2002 olds A/C mode control
Where exactly does the vacuum line run? I am having very similar problems. Defrost barely blows out the defrost vents and many times, i need to cycle through the modes to get it to change at all. I can also hear a faint noise when moving from 0-2 or so mph and stopping - the noise sounds like a vacuum leak. Could you point out where you had a leak? I also had some battery acid leak onto some parts. Thanks.
