Exclamation 94 Camry Turn Signal/Flasher Problems
My Camry has some turning signal problems. When I turn the signal either left or right it does not respond to flash when it is locked. I have to do it manually with my hand (up and down movement w/signal cylinder). I checked the bulbs which are fine and I replaced the fuse and flasher. I would really appreciate it if anyone could provide me with details. I have to go to a trip to New York with my family, so this is VERY necessary.

You're likely missing a ground or the turn sig switch is bad. Open your factory maintenance manual listed at the top of the forum for schematics and test procedures for your switch.

If you can operate your turn signals manualy the problem is most likely in the switch itself.
It is possible to repair it.

Disconnect your battery, remove the steering wheel and you will be able to get to the switch.

If it cannot be fixed, junk yard is your best bet. I was able to buy a turn signal switch for my Isuzu for 16 dollars vs dealer's 162.

My Dad said it costs $100 dollars to get a new one. So I'll go with the junkyard.

If yoy go to a place where you can get it yourself make sure you get (besides regular tools) a monkey wrench to uscrew the big nut that holds the steering wheel as well as a steering wheel puller.
