Brake/Blinker problems PLEASE ASSIST. 2004 buik lesabre

Hello. I am a owner of a 2004 buik lesabre and recently my left rear brake light and blinker stopped working but the tail light still works. I tried to replace the bulbs in the tail light but they were still good, I also notice that the blinker signal on the dash blinks faster than the right signal on the dash. Are these problems related? Can you tell me whats wrong and how to fix it? Thank you

Welcome to AF. No simple answer here, check for power to the suspect bulb/circuit also check for ground in that socket, 1st steps in the diagnostics.

Very similar problem in my wife's LeSabre. It did turn out to be a faulty bulb. There are two elements in the bulb, and while both looked good, a test with a volt meter for continuity showed the blinker element was broken. The rapid dash blinking is symptomatic of a burnt bulb in newer vehicles. In the old days, the dash light just stayed on.
