Does anyone know of any manufacturers that make a ram air kit? I've found many sites for air intakes and cold air intakes, but nothing for ram air. Some for older muscle cars, but nothing for my 2000 Malibu. I can fabricate one myself, but would rather buy a kit...

Re: Air Intake
I almost bought a 98 grand am with ram air a while back. A lot of stuff under the hood is similar I think. I doubt the whole thing will just fit, but some of those pieces might get you started.

Re: Air Intake
That's a pretty good point, even if it's close, I could manage to tweak it a little. What I would like to do is use the empty for/driving light hole and throw a tube there so air gets blasted in. I'll look into the pontiacs ram air, thanks.

Re: Air Intake
Just a quick update:
I checked out an 04 Grand Am w/ Ram Air, although it was a 3.8 and my Malibu is a 3.1, the air box looked the same and the pontiacs ram air looked like it might fit with a few minor mods. I also found that there is the same "silencer tube" in both, which raps around behind the the front bumper near the washer fluid res. I might get an after market air filter and run a tube to the fog light hole. I'll take pics when I do. |
