How good are the $40 eBay headers?

They seem too good to be true. Has anyone tried these, or know anything about them?

Thanks!

A header has to be specifically designed for the engine, might actually make the engine produce less HP than the stock one.

I don't see it harming your power, might just move your current power band around some, but don't expect much of a gain from a $40 header, and pray whoever did the welding can weld.

Headers are kind of one of those things, you get what you pay for....always some exceptions to that sometimes.

Ok, that dude claims 20-55 hp+ (which is ridiculous) but there's about 60 more of those going right now on eBay.

I wouldn't fully believe what they say on HP gains. But I don't see it hurting anything, let it breathe a little better than the factory manifold.

Re: How good are the $40 eBay headers?

I got lucky and got a real nice header at my local performance shop for 80 bucks used. It really beefed up my mid range torque. I see the auction has ended, but that guy has a lot of negative feedback. Or at least too much for me to consider buying from him
