Amp questions

I was wondering how long I could expect my amp to last after having rolled my car, the box and amp were straped down, but it still did hit the lid of my trunk because there are some nice scratches in the amp, its a sony 800 watt (actually 350) amp, I am also having a problem getting any amp to turn on in my car, the lights in them flashed when i plugged in the power and ground, but it dont turn on with the HU, all fuses are good, but im still wondering about the remote, but i dont think thats it, thanks

Re: Amp questions

I went to a friends house and he looked at it, we found a switch oon the power wire rated at 15 amps I think, and then replaced the 15 amp fuse on the line with a 30, havent finished it yet cuz i need to find my hex key for the amp, should be able to get it done tomorow...now i remember why i dont like other people wiring sometimes, and also, do you think the amp should be ok after being thrown around like that?

Re: Amp questions

No amp will tolerate abuse that well.

Re: Amp questions

All the amp did was hit the trunk lid, the box was strapped down and it was screwed to the top of that. it has a few scratches, but seems fine. It all works now, taking the 15 amp fuse and switch out and putting a new power wire in it worked.
