Does anybody know if the 2000 yamaha R1 frame is powder coated or not?

Why do you need to know this? Are you thinking of repainting the frame?

Im not trying to paint the frame i just want to put a mirror finsh on it.

no-one here rides one so we can't say for sure.

the shots i just saw from a google search look like just aluminium so polishing would work. curious though, why polish the frame. its just that the next buyer will assume its been dropped pretty bad if its polished
