quick question about boost gauge connect

ok guys well i was reading on here and someone i think it was bob or someone who gave me a link to step by step how to hook up a boost guage and where to tap into...the pic showed an elbow under the supercharger and it said to get a T connection and tap into it there...ok here the question i looked at mine and i already have a T connector there and both are being used. So i dont get it why would i have a T connection already and both have plasic tubs leading somewhere under the sc and one goes towards the back of the sc...is this normal?. ~joe

Re: quick question about boost guage connect

Hahah yeah but it sucks..its a digital dash line...I want one that shows how much boost by the number..But other than that i wanna know why in the tutorial there is an elbow on that gtp and they say get a T connector...well my point of the thread is why does mine already have a T connector and both ends are already used. What else could that be? hmm

As pointed out technically it is not a boost gauge but indicator. More like a gimmick. It does not give you an accurate representation of boost numerically, especially when running mods like an undersized SC pulley.

Check to see what it is connected to. Maybe the prior owner added them. Also, if not used make sure they are capped off. Really doesn't matter because you can add another tee connector for the aftermarket boost gauge. The tee allows you to tap in to the main vacuum line with a one way output to the gauge. You are not limited to how many you install. The important part is the MAP vacuum line must be used for any aftermarket vacuum operated boost gauge.
