Was there new code added to cause the page to flicker?

When a page loads it snaps the window to the bottom and then back to the top really fast (fast flicker).

It's driving me nuts.
I feel like it is sublimal messages or something

Anyone else seeing this?
Oh I'm running IE6.0

I'm running IE 5.5 on Win2KAS and I don't have any flicker.

I did notice it looks like the main forum page has started auto refreshing for me every 10 minutes or so, kind of like CNN does.

Haven't seen it. Sometimes there is HTML or JAVA code that remains from pages I visit (like that bullshit fade in script).

Let me know if it keeps happening.

...like flickering pages.

(if you can't fix the bug, then call it a feature)

The page is flickering on me too...

I'm also running IE6 and it flickers the screen to the bottom and then back once every 15 seconds or so. VERY ANNOYING. Wonder what's causing it. Didn't notice it until recently and I've been running IE6 for a few weeks now.

Does it coincide with the scrolling blue text above the Xterra4x4 Banner? (the one for a contest of a Porshe Boxter/MotorTrend/Acura/etc). I wonder if that's the culprit?

I don't think so...

I was watching for ANY changes to the screen which would cause the screen to flicker, but it flickered without any visual changes anywhere on the page. I thought that it would flicker when the banner changes too, but it doesn't appear to be linked. Something's going on in the background that I can't see.

It's doing the same thing for me too. It's almost like another screen wants to pop up but disappears right away....

Well it seems that the problem has to do with IE6.0

I'm now on a win2000 Pro with IE5.5 and it is not flickering (boucing to the bottom and back up).

It seemed to happen after or just when the page finsihed loading.
