engine and trans swap

I have a 95 sc2 with dohc and 5speed, I would love to put that engine and trans into a 96 sc (not sure if it is 1 or 2) with sohc and auto trans. I am reading there were a lot of changes between the years.

You're probably looking at about $1,000+ for labor not to mention that extras you gotta buy because you wont be able to use your existing with.

Re: engine and trans swap

you'll also need to change the PCM and wiring harness, using the 95 PCM and wiring would mean converting from OBD-2 to OBD-1, don't know if that would work plus it is techincly illegal. best to find the PCM and wiring from a 96 with a DOHC and 5-spd trans(things changed again in 97)
