Problem with top

Hello
I just bought a 1993 Convertible and have found that the top does not come all the way forward to enable me to latch it. It stops about an inch short. It takes two people to force the top forward enough to get it latched.
The top goes up and down just fine, and I have checked the fluid in the pump. If anyone has had this problem and found the answer please pass it on or any suggestions thanks in advance.

Re: Problem with top

Hello,

Also i have thise problem not a inch but it is very hard to close te top.
It looks if the fabric is a litle to short.
The place to adjust in the front is out space.

Gr Paul

Re: Problem with top

I also had this problem with my top, but when we forced it down the last time, the canvas finally ripped, so I completely replaced the top ($300 from JC Whitney, simple 1 afternoon installation) and now it closes perfectly with no trouble

Re: Problem with top

Top has shrunk. Put top up and leave up a few days; leaving it in the sun. Top will stretch back and become eaisier to lock down. I just bought 92 with same problem. It worked for me. Linda
