2 minor problems

1995 Aurora.
1. Cruise control intermitenly works. When it works, it's perfect.
Some times it fails to stay on. When I push the cruise button,, the cruise lighr comes on, then goes off. It will do that for days, then all of a sudden it starts working again...

2. When I turn the car off, I get a clicking sound from the engine compartment. Looking at the engine it seems like the throttle cable is slowly clicking and being released.????? Whats with that?

clicking sound is the idle speed controler. They cost about $125.00 GM part
