I need some advice on purchasing an Excursion

I am planning on buying a Excursion and would like to know what motors are available since their introduction and what was the year of their introduction.
Also, what were the best years and motors for the Excursion?

I'v got a 2002 7.3 turbo diesel and have had zero problems with it. The interior on all the years is pretty much the same as far as I can tell. Main difference is trim options

5.4 v-8 6.8 v-10 7.3 diesel (good) 6.0 diesel (known as the sick point 0 cause it sucks) both gas engines are good but the v-8 struggles a bit to push the weight. the 7.3 is a great engine if you are up for a diesel.
