Have a 98 Passat that turns over for about 5 seconds before firing. It chugs for about 2 seconds before the ideling levels out after it has started. (Almost like it has too much fuel). In trying to fix the problem I have had the fuel filter replaced, and the Temp sensor. Sometimes the car (about 50% of the time) will fire without waiting the 5 seconds. The next step will involve checking the plugs. Are there any sure fire ways to fix this issue? email me or reply to thread: [email protected]
