96 Astro no juice to the fuel pump

Ok, I was having problems with the van starting when it was wet out. I discovered the coil was arcing and it would start after a dose of WD40.

Last week my mother borrowed it to pick up a lawn ornament thingy, I told her to not shut it off, but she decided to hit some yard sales and to save gas, shut it off.

After it wouldn't start, it was towed home on a flatbed. I replaced the coil and module and now I have spark but no fuel pump. I switched over the AC and Fuel Pump relays and using a Snap-On red brick, comfirmed that the relay was working.

Does this van have a fuel shutoff or something that disables the fuel pump in an accident? The only thing I can think of is that the roll back operator may have jarred it hard enough to cut something off.

I pulled the 4 pin connector under the van and get no voltage in any of the pins with the key in the run position.

Anyone have any suggestions before the van ends up going to the firing range?

jumper out the fuel pump primer test lead- put 12v straight to it-- does van start? the test lead is the red wire with a plug on it hanging out of your plastic conduit near the fuse box underhood..........

Thanks for the suggestion, nope still no start, the fuel pump still doesn't run even with the jumper.

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

with primer lead jumpered- test voltage at fuel pump- to be sure it is getting there--- if so beat on the gas tank- to see if fuel pump starts pumping- they get dead spots in them and need to be replaced when this happens........

In front of the tank, on a frame member, is a black ground wire for the pump.
Mine was rusted.
At least it's an easy check.
