body advice

Have a 90 crx si stock

Been searching internet and these forums and looked at some of the pics posted and would like to know what would be overall better.

Keeping the stock look (which I am sorta partial too) or getting a body kit.

The side panels and the front bumper on mine need replacing as well as few odds and ends nothing to serious mainly just the bumper and side panels.

When it comes to any recommendations in in regards to kits, not looking for anything drastic, clean lines that would not change the overall look of the car. i.e. huge front, wings, look a like fenders not into. Wings West has what looks alright, but a little too much I think for me.(hope this was clear enough).

If stock where would be the best place for the parts. Ebay I have had some bad issues with, and seems it is all business now a days.

Re: body advice

order a jdm front clip..since you need a new front lol itll be clean and not aggressive but much much nicer than any other kit you could buy. i do like the ww kits tho theyve always been pricey..ive kept my crx stock body wise cuz they look clean already..maybe look into a low set wing similar to jdm style too.

by side panels did you mean fenders??

Re: body advice

No I do not mean fenders. The black, i guess, side skirts on the doors is what I meant by that. A wing I never really considered cause seems most wings today are all about being tall and wide and that is just too fast n furious bs for me. However a buddy told me that if I was considering a wing to first replace the rear wiper with one from a Intergra. Said it should fit no problem and sit lower and that this would allow me to choose from more wing styles. I believe he said from a 91 or 92 integra would work.

Re: body advice

Leave it stock. Sand and fix the side skirts (can be riveted to door jambs), bumpers, etc. Get a front lip and don't touch the back at all...

Re: body advice

yeah were all pretty much against big wings cuz hondas dont need them..the jdm small body hugging wings add a nice look to that flat spot on the hatch. or find a civic wing with the led light in there and wire it in..just do stock for the body and get a paint job..and get the plastic moldings on the side and around the car all painted the same color and itll look clean.
