scalloped 97 Corvette Coupe in progress (pic)

This is a Revell Snap-fit 97 Corvette Coupe that I'm working on. The scallops were done because I'm an idiot. I was spraying the third coat of clear and mistakingly grabbed the can of gray primer sitting next to the clear. Next thing I know, I sprayed a swish of gray on the b$tt end of the car. I tried to wet sand it out, but there was a bit too much. Since the front was fine, I figured I'd lay down scallops.

I plan on writing up a tutorial on how I painted it when I finish it.

I'll give a more in depth process when I do the tutorial, but in a nutshell, I use the same vinyl used in creating the graphics for "Tuners", a special scissors (available at most craft stores) and a good ruler. I also did this one using the same process, although a bit more involved color wise.

Thumbs up

Excellent paint job! It's good to see that you made a mistake into something that looks very cool.
