Tamiya Porsche 962
I just bought a couple of the Tamiya Porsche 962 kits at a great price.
Problem is, I didn't realize they had the windscreen and headlight covers pre-installed. This would not be a problem if the car were to be painted white, like the plastic. I plan on painting them black, and even with careful masking, the white plastic shows up at the edges of the "glass". Anyone have any idea as to how remove the pre-attached glass without damage? Thanks!

Re: Tamiya Porsche 962
I have not found a way that doesn't destroy the glass. If you get Perry's Resin corrected doors they come with vac-form door and window glass but you're out of luck for headlamp covers.

Re: Tamiya Porsche 962
Does anyone here have pictures or a link to pictures of the 1987 Le Mans Winner Rothman 962C or any of the Rothmans of that year?
Thank you! |

Re: Tamiya Porsche 962
Here is a start. No detail shots I'm afraid. This website is a great source of Le Mans info.
