Code #38 brake switch
I was on a trip this weekend and got a code number of 38 and noticed the torque converter was not locking up. the code is for"brake switch stuck off". However my brake lights still work when the code is displayed. Can anyone tell me if this affects the torque converter and is it actually the brake light switch it refers to. 94 K1500 5.7L

Yes the brake switch also controls TCC on and off.
I would check wiring and replace the brake light swich. MT
