Cruise Control

I just bought a 2007 1LT Cobalt Sedan (auto trans) and the one thing it is missing is cruise control (I thought I could live without it, but am having second thoughts). I know there is a ROSTA aftermarket system available, but I would rather have an oem system. Does anyone know if GM dealers are equipped to install cruise as a dealer-installed option, and if so, about how much it would cost? Thanks.

Re: Cruise Control

I recently bought a 2007 LT with factory cruise. The first one that I wanted did not have cruise and I asked if the dealership could make the installation. The reply was "no", and a local shop was recommended for an aftermarket unit. I can see where an install of the factory system could be a real project.

The factory system by the way, works just great.

Re: Cruise Control

If you can't live without it, I'd have a reputable shop install an aftermarket unit. Keep in mind though, if you have any throttle by wire issues or electrical problems that can be associated with the aftermarket cruise control, it will be a hassle to get 3/36 warranty coverage.
