Exclamation HELP! Van won't start & Battery won't charge

Today I loaded my kids in the van (automatic door worked fine), got in & tried to crank. There was a click, then nothing! Lights, radio, door - nothing worked. When I tried to jump it off, it would not charge. When I turn the key, there isn't so much as a click. There is absolutely nothing happening.
I find this troubling because - as I said - the electric door worked just fine a minute before the trouble started. What could it be?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
