Removing Factory Radio from 1986 oldsmobile cutlass calais
Please someone help. I don't know how to remove the factory radio from my 86 cutlass calais

1. Pull off the radio faceplate (trim cover) by pulling outward. You will have to grip the exposed inner edges by your fingertips. Four of five retaining clips hold the faceplate on. Pull evenly around the faceplate to keep the faceplate from breaking.
2. Remove the four mounting plate screws and the screw from the radio support bracket on the lower tie bar. 3. Pull the radio out and detach the wiring and the antenna lead. |

The answer I provided is for a "G" body (2 door, rear-wheel drive). You proobably have the front wheel drive Calais. My 84 Calais is the G body rear wheel drive and I figured you had the same. I am unsure of the radio removal on the front wheel drive model cars. There still would be a faceplate though.
