2001 firebird wont turn over, dash is dead

My 2001 ws6 dash went dead while I was driving it, nothing lights up, no gages work, and the car will not turn over. I never had a problem before this. headlights, radio, and windows work, but no power to any lights or gages. The car still ran untill I parked it and shut it off, then would not turn over. I checked all the fuses, and thy seemed good, any thoughts ? Ed

hmm interesting one, there are a few places you havn't mentioned that you checked so im just gonna list off a few possibilities. I would take the battery cables off of the battery and make sure that its all clean. sometimes a bad connection can cause a lot of weird problems. Make sure to get a good connection when putting it back together. also, make sure the the hot cable that runs to the starter has a good connection with the starter. sometimes things don't get tightened to specs in the factory.(and believe me it happens more than you think, i used to work for Chrysler working on the truck line) I also know you said you checked the fuses but with that being a newer model ive never actually seen under the hood of one, but is there a second set of fuses under the hood you havnt checked yet? like i said im not even sure if there are any under the hood, im just throwin ideas out. not sure if any of this would fix the problem but its something I would try

Checked all the fuses under the hood, they were good. Battery was replaced less than a year ago, think it may be the ignition switch?
