Cherokee speedometer stops working

Thanks for the suggestion - I will bang on the dash tomorrow AM and see if it works. Could it be as simple as you say? That would be a first for me to have an easy solution. Thanks again.

You might have to take the instrument pack out to check the connector. Sounds like it is loose or the harness is known to be "too short" and is pulling out of the instrument pack.

The air bag light has a recall associated with it. It involves relocating the air bag sensor from under the drivers seat to the center console. You can search for this issue here at the Jeep forum.

Thanks again, finally some answers. We will take care of this right away. It is unsettling to not know what your speed is (can't rely on keeping up with traffic in Mich.) or your fuel level. Part of the problem maybe started with having the dash pulled to replace the evaporator coil for the AC. But now we know and can take care of it.
