90 b16a in a 92-95 civic

i was wondering if i could put a 88-91 b16a with a ys1 into a 92-95 civic without needing new motor mounts? Can i just keep the mounts that r on the b16a and take the mounts out of the 92-95 civic and swap it or do i need totaly new mounts?

You'll need a custom transmission side mount kit to be able to use the cable transmission with the 5th gen (that's set up for a hydraulic tranny). You'll also need an OBD1 ecu.

Re: 90 b16a in a 92-95 civic

Well, if you were to use a hydro B-series transmission, you would just need the B16a driver's side mount and b16a rear mount bracket and be able to use the rest of the stock '92-'95 Civic mounts. I'm honestly not sure how different the '88-'91 b16a and '92-'95 b16a mounts are. So as long as the mounts are the same you'll be fine, otherwise you'll need to get the compatible b-series mount and mount bracket.

As for the ecu, it depends on how much you can find it for. I've seen them go for $180-$300.
