2003 chrysler sebring help for hesitation & sputtering problem

When engine is running and I turn on the heater or the a/c the rpm drops, there is a loss of power to the engine, then the car starts to sputter, and hesitate.
Does anyone know what could be the problem and/or solution.

Re: 2003 chrysler sebring

Have the alternator check for output. On a small v6 you feel the ac kick in. Almost like it tries to slow the car down. Depending on the miles the ac comp might be getting tired and pulling real hard. Comp might be tired. Not like you could find someone to help you with ac. Have to do it all.
