Wheel Bearings

So I thought the loud noise in my Honda was normal, as my roommate had it too. Well her's just had to have the Wheel bearings replaced, and while her's is under warrenty, mine is not.

I have an 05 civic at 36.5k miles (500 over the warrenty) and it looks like I will need to replace the wheel bearings. Any idea how much this will cost? Doesn't it seem like this is a but premature, mileage wise?

I want to prep myself before I go into sticket shock.

Re: Wheel Bearings

My 05 sedan has had severe road noise since day one. It has had 2 sets of tires, Potenza RE92s lasted the rated 40k and currently running Michelin Harmony. Both sets have been rotated every 5000 miles.

I would get an opinion from a mechanic before replacing wheel bearings.
