haha, ANOTHER update on me.

jeeze, whats wrong with me, i keep neglecting this place, but ive been offline for a while and out of home for about 6 months with my now ex gf...

any aussie riders if you have msn or hotmail, im glad to keep in touch, and see if you want to come for a ride with me or my forums
[email protected]

but yeah basically ive just crashed a CBR250RR by hitting a rock in the middle of the national park, tossing me off at 60km/h, good crash, nothing majorly broken on the bike, only some levers.

minor fracture in hip, big bruising and a chipped knee, but my helmet wasent even TOUCHED!

anyways, me and the guys from Oroadsports that i ride with are auctioning off my old bike as a raffle thing, pay fora free BBQ, meet some people and basically give me some cash to repay my newest bikes rego.

getting to that, since im poor now, and waiting for a new job, i got another bike form the wreckers

1982 Suzuki GSX250E, with 1986 parts, 900 dollars, will be ridable to go get blueslip when i put my last payment on it in a week or 2.

basically going to be a cheap commuter until i upgrade to a sprint ST or similar, but ill still keep this if its a good bike.

ITS CAFE RACER TIME ... i know its not a very suitable bike, but keep your eyes open on threads to come in the months ahead while i transform this subtle GSX250e into a decent little cafe racer. plus being a low power 250 twin, it gives me a struggle to reach the Ton ... i need about another 15mph to actually reach 100... so we will have some decent backyard mechanical work going into that

pics. soon to be midnight metallic blue, green, or black/silver. clipons, new exhausts, pod filters and repainting or powdercoating everything, with new bolts and nuts. then engine work will come *just basic headwork, for restoring purposes*

i basically would like to make it similar to one of these. SIMILAR... not the same.

This is my favorite example of a cafe racer from a ho-hum bike...an old Honda CB350. I think it's the best way to go with an older, small displacement bike!

Good luck!

Of your three pics, I like the red one the best, it looks most like a period street version of a factory racer. Slap on the little bikini fairing on the bike Jeff posted (to give it a modern twist), and you got a bad ass little scoot.
