G Voyager 1221 55
Hi,
I am getting "Service Engine Soon". I did the ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON sequence and I got 1221 55. Does anybody what this means? If someone could guide give me the link to the codes, I would greatly appreciate it. I have a 07 Grand Voyager 3.3L. THank you.

P1221 Fuel Pump Secondary Circuit Low
55 is end of codes. 07 GV will still be covered by the warranty and that is where I would be taking it back to,and let them figure it out.costs nothing to you. |

Re: G Voyager 1221 55
Thanks a lot and sorry for the typo. It is 97 and not 2007. So, I may have to do this myself. Is it just a matter of replacing the fuel pump? Easier said than done but that's the spirit.

Re: G Voyager 1221 55
It doesn't have that particular code. I am still browsing through that forum.
There is also a list of codes in this link http://autorepair.about.com/od/obdco..._1996_year.htm. It is not specific to a vehicle, though. Are the codes universal or specific to a vehicle?

Re: G Voyager 1221 55
Mae Culpa, I mis-read your code info, what you have is a code 12 (battery disconnected in last 50 starts, this is common and pops up all of the time, not to worry), code 21 ( Right Rear or just Upstream O2 Sensor stays at center/ neither rich or lean condition detected from the O2 sensor), code 55 (end of test). The codes may be specific to a number of years and are relative to many cars produced by the manufacturer.

Re: G Voyager 1221 55
Thanks Bear. I went to Autozone this morning to buy the O2 sensor. I will try to install it tomorrow.
I also asked them to read the code and it had 0134 but the same description. Why does it have different codes but has the same meaning? A silly question but i am just curious.

Re: G Voyager 1221 55
My guess is that when you key code the system , the CEL light only has the ability to give you a two digit code, however, a scanner will give you the four digit code.

Re: G Voyager 1221 55
The key dance gives you a Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) code, a basic 2 digit code system designed to steer you to the system at fault. Your "0134" code (actually P0134) is the DRB scan code or "P" code designed to give more detailed information. That's why it's always better to use a scanner to get error code information. As you found out, Autozone does this for free. The dealer will charge $100+ for the same service. Looking at it that way, you just got a nearly free O2 sensor.

Re: G Voyager 1221 55
I intalled the sensor a couple of weeks ago and never seen the light anymore. Thank you.
Haynes' manual says that the cowl has to be removed to replace the sensor. I was only able to remove the cover but not the cowl. I still didn't have access to it. I went under and saw a tunnel where I could reach the sensor and was able to replace it. Also replaced the blower resistor and spark plugs...
