Re: Catalytic Converter

It depends on the brand of the aftermarket CAT convertor and other conditions. The typical DTC is P0420 which is CAT operating below efficiency. I have no data on the Catco brand but Magnaflow Hi-Flow CATs work fine in most cases.

BTW - Why 2.5" on the Catco according to your link? The pipe inlet/outlet on stock is 2.25". And is this a hi-flow?

Re: Catalytic Converter

The inlet and outlet is 2.5 becasue I am puting a new 2.5 inch exhaust on and a U-bend delete. (Is this pointless without replacing the downpipe?) I'm not sure if it is high flow or not but I think I am going to return it and get a magnflow cause I cant use an o2 sim if the ses light comes on because I live in Virginia.

Re: Catalytic Converter

That is a good move but I would seriously consider the 3" or 2.5" downpipe. Alot of us use Magnaflow Hi-Flow CATs. Mine is 2.5" in/out but I have SLP headers. The Magnaflows are about the same price as the Catco. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
