MR2 vs 98 prelude

I gotta friend that wants to race a 98 prelude. He is drivin a 91 mr2 turbo and i was just wonderin which one yall think would win.....the lude is a 5spd and its the base modle with NO MODS. His car is also bone stock.

A turbo 2 will spank the Lude....I had a 92 Lude that would absolutely destroy my NA 2:bandit:

haha i cant stop laughing at the lude, i have beaten a lude that had a turbo, this was a long time ago when my 91 mr2 turbo was bone stock, the 3S-GTE engine is just unstopable :rocket:

Yeah, I will second that the MR2 will win. I am sure they are lighter and they may have more HP depending on your year Prelude.

Lighter + more HP = win

OMG, I can't believe there's even any question about it. The MR2 will whip that silly Prelude back to the factory it came from. Around my area, those two cars aren't even in the same category, and rarely race. I'd think a 3S-GE powered MR2 would be a better a match for a VTEC Prelude. Don't tell me that they detuned the MR2 turbo so much for the US market that it has troubles beating standard VTEC powered cars.

oh dont worry, the mr2's here are easily pushed back up to euro specs, i have done it on mine without spending any money
