need a bit of help
Well I just recently purchased a used car, I have a general knowledge of cars, so I looked under the hood with friend who knew what he was doing. The only thing that was missing was the air intake hose, I figured no big deal, quick fix... Well apparently there was a reason the dealer didnt do it himself. Its almost impossible to find the one I need, I visited 5 places with no luck... Going to a pick a part junk yard tomorrow to see if I can find it...
anyway, just wondering if anyone knew where I could find what I need... one side of the hose is a 3 inch circle... the other is a 4 by 2 inch (if I remember right...) rectangle... just need a real short hose... as a result my car heats up VERY easily, and i cant stop and leave in running while parked... anyway, any help is appreciated... the stores I visited myself where - -Autozone -Pepboys -Car Quest -Nevada House of hose -Napa auto parts... none seemed to have one... |

1. What car? (just curious)
2. Why don't you just make one? 3. Did you try ebay?

Re: need a bit of help
I hear its hard to find parts for the Firebird of that era. Still, I believe making your own from some kind of extreme heat resistant material is your best bet (or junkyard I guess). Maybe try an exhaust shop and see if they can find something suitable for an intake.
