2001 power steering leaks at pressure hose fitting
I have a 2001 Windstar which has a severe leak at the connection where the pressure hose is attached to the pump. I was told by a Ford dealer there should be a white teflon ring/washer at the conection. I have a replacement ring but I am having difficulty tryin to seat the rin on the male end of the pressure hose. Is it ok to try to insert the ring in the pump and then secure the pressure hose to the pump? Need help!
Thanks |

Re: 2001 power steering leaks at pressure hose fitting
ok, from what I see in my ford CD manual it states that you need a special tool to seat the ring to the tube. it's called a Teflon seal replacer set 211-D027(D90P-3517-A) and looks cylindrical in shape. Hope this helps
