3.4 alero LIM gasket replace

i bought a mint 2001 alero 3.4 GLS one owner with 65k for my daughter's first car. when i checked it out i found this problem. i talked the dealer down another $1000 to repair this. what others things should i have my mechanic check and or replace when it is apart? bill

Welcome to AF.

Thiers not much more to change other then gaskets.
Since its a low mileage car I wouldnt think the head gaskets would be bad, but you never know these days how people treat thier automobiles. Could have them do a compression test to see if the H gaskets are ok.

Other then the push rods and lifters, that would be all.
Lifters do get a bit ticky after the 80k mile mark due to varnish and or clogged push rods
