Question what is the difference between an ss and a z28?

a 1997 Camaro SS is faster than a 1997 Z8. How Can I make my 1997 Z28 into an SS?

Re: what is the difference between an ss and a z28?

They are actually pretty much the same car. An appearance package and suspension package are pretty much the only things that sets the two apart. A catback exhaust from SLP is also an option on the SS. But a few bolt-ons on the Z, and it will outrun a stock SS. Some lucky 97 SS owners did get the LT4 powerplant, instead of the LT1, which makes a good difference.
But other than that, I would rather have a Z28 over an SS because its cheaper. Unless you're just in love with the look of an SS, pretty much the same car. Once the mods start coming on, Z28 = SS.

Do a search, there are a lot of threads asking the same question.

yep. ive actually heard z28>SS (Even tho i have a sS) just cuz with the 1K more SS's can easily go for, you can do ::

intake, exhaust and have more hp then a SS (the SS intake gets heat soaked)
