Can I switch the battery tie down to the other side?

I had to get a new battery, and they only had 92+ batteries which has the terminals on the other side, so is it possible to switch the tie down, cause me and my dad might attempt this tommorow

It should work, except i think the rods to hold the bottery tight may be to long then...should be easy enough to fix...

The real simple answer here is that you should not do it. Rather see you swap for the battery with the posts on the opposite side from where you now have them. My Die Hard is a model 30051 and the connections are on the side closer to the fender versus the way yours are. I might add that my AEM short Ram clears perfectly.

if I turned the battery around the connectors wouldnt reach. I had a battery with posts on the other side before this one, and yes, my intake still cleared. Hopefully moving the mount will do it, or else off to return this battery to costco and get one over at pepboys or something.

let me ask you this question...do you have an amplifier hooked up in the hatch of your civic? if yes, then you already have step 1 of BATTERY RELOCATION complete. guys this is an easy mod and it eradicates the problem you're having plus other problems like your battery arcing on the intake pipe. It cleans up the engine bay and makes it more spacious. Its been said that putting your battery in the hatch makes for a better weight ratio but i dunno.

anyways
I could write a how-to on this but i think this link http://www.homemadeturbo.com/battery.html probably does a better job.

civic killer.. i didnt put a circuit breaker on mine and it works fine. the stock battery location doesn't have a circuit breaker besides for fuses. all i did was use my 4 gauge amp wire already ran to the back, unhooked the battery from the front and mounted it in the battery box in the back. then i took a cheap 4 gauge -> (2)8 gauge splitter and hooked that up under the hood to the battery wire and the 2 power wires originally running from the battery positive terminal. on that homemadeturbo.com link, it says to ground the battery in the spare tire hole but i grounded mine to the top of the strut post. very simple mod and gives you a nice custom look...."HEY MAN, WHERES YOUR BATTERY?????" heheh
