A/C Leak

I have an A/C Leak but I have no idea where it is coming from on my 98 Grand Cherokee. If you are laying under the truck, the freon is dripping off the bumper on the right hand side where all the A/C components are. I checked all the hoses, the condenser, and the receiver/dryer and I cannot find this leak and it is driving me insane!!!! I thought at first it was the compressor because it is wet underneath where the compressor is located on the frame, but the compressor is bone dry! Has anyone had a similar problem like this? I can't figure this damn thing out at all

Re: A/C Leak

You can actually see the feon dripping or just the condensation?

It's like a mixture of condensation and freon (the freon is like a lime green). Sometimes it is just condensation that drips but then there are times when the condensation drips with a mix of the freon. When I touch it with my fingers its seems oily. I thought it was the condenser that was leaking but I got in there and its perfectly fine. It almost seems like it's running down the frame rail and then drips off the bottom of the front bumper.

You sure that's not coolant you're seeing, refrigerant is usually clear and coolant feels oily.

I'm pretty sure it is refrigerant because I have had to charge my A/C twice this summer. The coolant bottle is full.

Re: A/C Leak

There is prolly dye in the system, you could take it back to where you had it charged and they could check it out with a UV light and find the leak.

If it's leaking up by the bumper then it has to be from the condensor or one of the lines.
