rear "brake backing plate"

has anyone ever had to replace the "brake backing plate" on a 95 Mitsubishi Eclipse? MIne is wrecked, it was dented now its ground down, makes a grinding noise sometimes when I turn right. Does the dealer still carry this item, if so what is the price ? used value if you bought one from a junk yard?

Re: rear "brake backing plate"

Are you talking about that little black sheet-metal guard behind the rotor?

Used, probably like $5.00 each or something low like that.
