Try to stay away from audiobahn as much as you can.

Try to go with alpine, infinity, etc. Audiobahns tend to sound like crap. They put out some bass but the sq is almost non existant.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.

Re: Would This audio set up work

You will get a lot of different opinions on Pioneer products. Some people don't like them. I love em. My dad has used pioneer products in his Saturns for years and still does today. My first deck was a base pioneer and was good. I've used pioneer speakers a lot and those were good too. I currently have a Pioneer amp and is still running strong after 5 years. Some of the regulars like PS3 and NavyIC have Pioneer decks.

I agree with pimprolla on the audiobahns. They will give you a lot of boom as they're better suited for ported enclosures IMO but quality isn't there. Get a couple Alpine Type Rs or maybe some Infinity Kappas or some older Kappa Perfects.

there are LOTS of choices if you look outside of mainstream companies for speakers and amps.

i also agree no audiobahn unless you want spl......pioneer is a great head unit and speakers everything pretty uch lol, also look into cadencesound.com they have good SQ subs dont be scared by the prices if you go to thier site i can hook you up with a deal if you go through cadence, but like Paul D said there are none mainstream companies out there that have ggood stuff, fusion for one, i thought there stuff was crap till i did a few installs with fusion and its good

Re: Would This audio set up work

I have noticed that one of the cheapest and most efective ways of getting rediculous amounts of power for less is using Cadence for Amps or subs. They stuff cost roughly around the same as your low or mid-end Circuit City or Best Buy stuff ( Infinity Reference series, AudioBahn, MTX, Alpine, Rockford Fosgate, Sony, and Kenwood) but deliver so much more power than all that I mentioned above. Cadence Daytona & RS Series Subs are up there competing with JBL Premiere and JL Audio 12W7's. One great thing that they offer that other brands don't is that they will include replacement parts with the actual sub... just in case something may go wrong. Not to give the impression that they do not last long because they will knock all day... real hard... for a long time. That Pioneer Deck looks great but the amp is not pushing enough power for the cost.
Try a Cadence ZRS10 or a Daytona Series. You might enjoy it... After your ears stop bleeding.opcorn:

One more thing... Pioneer Decks are the way to go.
What can I say... Quality... Quality... Quality.

Re: Would This audio set up work

What do you mean "will it work"? Or are you asking will it sound good? And the enclosure doesn't really matter. Audiobahn generally is not a very well respected company in this forum.

Re: Would This audio set up work

will it work is a pretty generic question .... I am sure it will power up, and put up some sound. Whether it will be loud and/or sound good is another matter. That generally takes time for install and tuning.

And just about any other forum for that matter.

I think alot of people didnt have a very good first system but it was their system, and most people just go out and buy stuff slap it in a car and think it sounds good. (not saying you did). But car audio just like everything else requires research. If you buy something just cause of the chrome basket, or cause the manufacturer says its the best. Like the MTX jack hammer, sure il bet it has a lot of bass, but for 3k and another 1-2k for the power you can get a 18" XXX and a nice 3k watt amp for under 2k, and still get just as loud. Every company wants your money, the best thing to do is to research the project, ask questions, ask people what they think of the etc.

And i sure people like venom have a hard time explaining major differences to people, and alot of people that do this dont know much so all they know is what they have been told, which alot of times come from people who dont know much.
