i have a 96 dodge grand caravan auto shifts fine 1 thru 3rd gears once you hit 30mph when it should go into drive it basically stays in 3rd any help would be appreciated

If this is the 4 speed trans. I don't believe it will go into 4th until 35 to 40mph. You can try putting the shift lever into the first d position then moving it manually when you get to a higher speed.
