Re: What does it have to do with.......
I'm guessing you're getting hard shifts, or perhaps a clunk when you put it in gear?
The short answer is they are both plugged into the same computer. For some reason the pcm probably thinks that the map sensor problem, or another problem caused by it not being able to talk to the map sensor, indicates it should tell the transmission to shift with full line pressure. ...or at least I know an iat sensor will do that. |

Re: What does it have to do with.......
Well, it all started One day that I change the spark plug maybe I unplug the map sensor, but i can't remember then after that some months after that i jack up the car and (even though i know about cars) i put the car in gear in mid-air then the tranmission started to throw the gear (hard) even after I lower the car well, i was like this for a year after I got the income i decide to go get the tran. fix but after 6 attempts the tran. mech couldn't fix that problem but worse he mess up my tran. after the six i told him to put another one but still it kick the gears. I even change the CV-joints but still I check the supports and they were not torn. One day i open the hood and notice that two sensors were not plug one does not go with my wiring but the other one was the map sensor which i later found out that it was the map sensor. The funny part was when i connect the sensor the check engine light went off and the tranmission stop kicking (weird what a small sensor can do )
