writing my own...

i'm working on writing my own racing story... i've tried like 5 times, i always sucked at starting it and such... but now i think i've got it... these are the cars and their drivers' style...

91 CRX : Christina
H23S (supercharger)
218whp
1962lbs.
Fundamental Driving w/ Hints of Rally

93 Miata : Michael
13BT
211whp
1899lbs.
Grip Driving w/ Autocross Techniques

91 Eclipse GSX : Michelle
6G72S (supercharger)
281whp
2529lbs.
Grip Driving w/ Track Techniques

95 240SX : Nicholas
VG30DES (Supercharger)
269whp
2421lbs.
Drift w/ Autocross w/ Track Techniques

96 Impreza : Steven
EJ33S (supercharger)
260whp
2342lbs.
Rally w/ Fundamentals

Steven and Christina are a couple... as are Michael and Michelle... each is basically a foil for the other which leads to some good writing... Nick is basically a single playa type guy... they are all pretty well off with money, hell they're rich, they go to a top school that you gotta pay for... i tried going with the not so well off side, i just couldnt get it to work... but this is what i'm going with now... the best part is one of the final races is...

NSX : C32BTT }{ CRX : H23S
300ZX : VG30DETT }{ 240SX : VG30DETT
RX7 : 20BT }{ Miata : 13BT
Supra : 2JZ-GTE }{ 240SX -> Impreza
VR4 : 6G72TT }{ Eclipse : 6G72S
GT-R : RB30DETT }{ Impreza : EJ33S

Big race... CRX chick is the brains of the team... 240SX dude is a flashy racer who knows what he's doin... Miata dude is a pro in the making racer... Eclipse chick is an adrenaline junky... and the Impreza guy is a fun loving guy who can, and does, get serious sometimes... i'll start writing some of it on here, don't know how much just yet tho... we'll see... so tell me what ya'll think of the premise so far...

Peace, Steven Folchi

Re: writing my own...

Sounds like another F&F creation. You can take my criticism however you want it though.

The engine swaps seem a bit out of the ordinary. Using Supercharging instead of the general turbo charging for say the Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX (AWD 4g63 turbo stock!), Nissan 240sx (most swap in an SR20DET or RB20/26DETT and Subaru Impreza WRX/STi (2.0 or 2.5 turbo boxer AWD). I hope you have a reason for that. Obviously, this story is based around people that like import cars. You don't even have to specify because it's rather obvious. All I can say is good luck and keep rereading what you write and don't be afraid to edit... especially when somebody screams rice!

I've written a few stories like this and honestly the only ones that seem interesting have a plot that doesn't even center on racing.
