89' dodge ram van

Lately I have been having problems with my van not starting at sometimes and shutting off while idling. I have replaced sparkplugs, wire, distributor cap, coil, air filter, fuel filter and fuel pump. It does good for a while then it starts acting up again. I am at a lost for words. I am trying to keep it running until I can get the replacement motor in I have for it. It just started having problems out of the whole time I have had it.

When it won't start are you getting spark, fuel pressure?

You didn't mention having done anything with the AIC valve. Take that off and do a good cleaning of the valve and the seat at the bottom of the hole it inserts to. Many rough idle, hard starting, and stalling issues can be traced back to this valve not operating or seating correctly.

It doesn't really idle rough, but I will check that out. I just wanted to know before I do any costly repairs. I really hate dealing with fuel injection.
